About Holly Adams, DNP, APRN
Hi, I’m Holly Adams, DNP, APRN, a gastroenterology nurse practitioner with a focus on liver health.
My passion for fatty liver disease is both professional and personal. I was diagnosed with a liver condition in 2008, and over the years I’ve seen firsthand how common — and confusing — fatty liver disease has become. Today, it is one of the fastest growing causes of chronic liver disease, yet many people leave appointments unsure of what it means, what to do next, or whether improvement is even possible.
In my clinical practice, patients often ask the same questions:
What does fatty liver really mean? Can it be reversed? Where do I even start?
Fatty Liver NP was created to answer those questions in a clear, practical, and evidence-based way.
I believe lifestyle is the foundation of liver health. Real food, sustainable habits, and realistic changes matter — not perfection, extremes, or shame. At the same time, fatty liver disease isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some people, lifestyle changes are enough. For others, medical therapy may play an important supporting role. Both can work together.
I also understand the frustration that comes with being told to simply “eat less and move more.” After years of navigating my own health journey, I know that change is rarely that simple. My goal is to meet people where they are and help them take informed, achievable steps toward better liver health.
Fatty Liver NP exists to make liver science understandable — and to help people move forward with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
